Sixty Seven Student Officers of the Tri-Services following the No. 03 Defence Services Command and Staff Collage attended a presentation on the organization structure of the SLAF this afternoon (17 December 2009) at Air Force Head Quarter, Colombo.

The presentation which is a part of the course syllabus was presented by the Director of Air Operations Air Vice Marshal Kolitha Goonetileke. Further, He went onto describe the role played by the SLAF in the recently concluded humanitarian operations as well as the future plans of the same.




Thereafter,  Student officers participated in a question and answer session with the acting Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke and Director of Air Operations.

On conclusion of the above, a plaques was presented to the Commander of the Air Force by the Commandant of  Defence Services Command and Staff Collage, Major General Niranjan Ranasingha on behalf of the students.
