Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana celebrated its 23rd Anniversary on 2nd April 2014. The Formation Day celebrations began with a parade held at the Parade Square, reviewed by the Commanding Officer Gp Capt HMB Herath. This was followed by a social event comprising friendly cricket matches and other games.  The Director Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering AVM RJ Pathirage graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Base Commander Air Cdre PKDT Jayasinghe and many Senior Officers also shared in the celebration. The event was also marked by offering a lunch to Aloka Senior Citizens Home at Panadura on 1st April 2014, during which the resident were also provided with some musical entertainment.
