The No.26 Regiment wing from SLAF Base Katunayake emerged champs of the Inter Unit Wresting Championship which was concluded last evening (22nd December, 2009) at the Katunayake Air Base sports complex.

Over 166 wrestlers competing under nine weight categories represented all SLAF establishments for this event. The Champs of the event managed to score 19 points whilst the runners up – SLAF China Bay – earned 18 points in the competition.

Leading Aircraftmen Kumarasiri from the winning formation was nominated as the "best wrester" whilst Flying Officer Kumara became the "best loser" of the Championship.
