Recruits Pass Out In Ampara

A total of 482 recruits from the 141th Regular and 99th Volunteer Course and 06th course of direct entry of Airmen courses passed this morning (08 January 2010) at SLAF station Ampara after completing 17 weeks of challenging training. The training focused on drill, weapon training, tactics, field craft, map reading, fire fighting, explosive handling, Humanitarian Law, Air Force Law and Combat First Aid.

The Parade was commanded by Squadron Leader Nishantha Priyadarshana, Officer Commanding Training whilst Parade Adjutant was Pilot Officer GPC Prasanna and Flight Sergeant Rajanayaka  acting as the Parade Warrant Officer.



The Chief Guest for this special occasion was Air Commodore Ranil Gurusinghe the Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
