The Sri Lanka Air Force cycling team won the Defence Services Cycling Championship 2014 which was concluded on 06September 2014. Incidentally, this is victory was achieved after nine years. The race was started in Colombo and concluded at Gannoruwa in front of the Sri Lanka Army Camp and the riders maintained an average speed of 40 kmph throughout the competition.  The Chairman SLAF Cycling Air Commodore DLS Dias and officials of the Committee were also present at this occasion while Rear Admiral SS Ranasinghe WWV, RWP, USP, psc, MSc(D&SS),MSc(WS&DM), AOWC, Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
