The 34th Death Anniversary Commemoration of late General Sir John Kotelawala  CH, KBE, LID, (Honoris Causa) was held yesterday evening at the KDU near the statue of General Sir John Kotelawala.

A distinguish gathering consists of the relatives of the late General, Vice Chancellor, Senior Officers of the Tri Services, members of the Faculties of KDU and the Officer Cadets participated at the ceremony.

Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal KA Gunatilleke graced occasion as the Chief Guest along with Mrs. Roshani Gunatilleke.

The Chief Guest and the invitees’ laid floral tribute at the statue of General Sir John Kotelawala. Speaking at the occasion the Commander gave an insight of the life of this patriot, hero and a great son of Sri Lanka.
