The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, conducted the AOCs inspection at SLAF Station Weerawila this morning (3 October 2014). The Commander, upon arrival for the inspection, was received by the Acting Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader WMDA Weerasooriya and he was awarded the a street lining.

During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited all areas and declared open the newly constructed works section and the work shops.

Concluding the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian staff and commended their hard work to uplift the standards of the Station  and emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force as well as to the motherland at all times. Finally the Commander attended for an all rank lunch at the Airmen Mess. Before departing he Station all Officers bid Farewell to the Commander.
