The Colour Awards Ceremony 2014 of the Sri Lanka Air Force was held at the Eagle's Lakeside, Ratmalana on 11 October 2014. The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony is a much looked forward event in the SLAF sporting calendar, which is held to felicitate and encourage its sportsmen and women who have brought honour and glory during the past two years.

The Vartharasa Trophy for the most Outstanding Sportsman of the year was awarded to Corporal Dilshan MYM for Boxing and to Corporal Rathnasiri CMTD for Hockey for the years of 2012 and 2013 respectively.

The special awards of the Colours Night were awarded to the following sporting personalities.

A total of 342 Sports men and women in 31 Sports disciplines were honoured at this grand ceremony in which the 49 persons mentioned below received the Golden Eagle award for remarkable performance displayed during the years 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, members of the Board of Management, senior ranking officers and members of the various sports disciplines of the SLAF were also present at the grand ceremony.
