On the theme of “Standards Level the playing Field” the other Sri Lanka Air Force Bases/Stations joined with Command Quality Assurance Inspectorate Air Force Head Quarters Colombo to commemorate the World Standards Day which fell on 14th October 2014 and the National Quality Week from 13th to 19th October 2014. The organized programme on World Standards Day included hoisting the “Quality” flag at individual stations, sharing the knowledge on 5 “S” Housekeeping, Productivity and Motivation. With the intention of increasing the awareness of civilian organizations regarding the National Quality Week and the World Standards Day, programmes were organized by the Quality Assurance Cells of SLAF Katunayaka, SLAF Anuradapura and SLAF Hingurakgoda for Katunayaka Maha Vidyalaya, Central College Anuradhapura and Vidyaloka Vidyalaya Hingurakgoda respectively.

SLAF Station Colombo together with Command Quality Assurance Inspectorate followed the above programme on 14th October along with SLAF Academy  Chinabay, SLAF Hingurakgoda, SLAF Rathmalana, SLAF Anuradhapura, SLAF Weerawila, SLAF  Bandaranayake International Airport, SLAF Koggala, SLAF Ekala followed the similar programmes on the same day.
