Inter Unit Golf Championship – 2014

Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay secured the overall championship at the second Inter Unit golf tournament held at the Sri Lanka Air Force Eagle’s Heritage Golf on 06th December 2014.
The game consisted of 18 holes one round match and a total of 52 players participated in the tournament. Sri Lanka Air Force Academy Cby team displayed their skills in such fashion that enabled the Academy to clinch the Championship with 67 points. SLAF Base Anuradhapura were runners up. The tournament had three events simultaneously with the inter unit championship as Open championship, open for over 40 category and open women s category.
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke graced the event as the chief guest. The Chief of Staff of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala and the Chairman SLAF Golf Air Vice Marshal KVB Jayampathy were present at the occasion. The awards ceremony was held at the Club House of the Heritage Golf Club during the evening of the same day.
The Commander of the Air Force, The Chairman SLAF Golf, Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake Commandant SLAF Academy China Bay , Acting Base Commander SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Secretary SLAF Golf Group Captain P Ranasinghe and many other golfers representing SLAF establishments also participated in the tournament.
