The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of No 60 Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course

The certificate awarding ceremony of No. 60
Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at Ground Training
School auditorium of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on 12th
December 2014. Air Commodore HMSKB Kotakadeniya, the Commandant Sri
Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay graced the ceremony as the Chief
Guest.
The primary objective of conducting this course is to impart a sound academic and managerial knowledgebase while sharpening leadership qualities within Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF. The course runs through a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. The comprehensive course is affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfil the required criteria will be awarded with a Certificate in Management. The 60th batch comprising 44 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 42 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SL Army, 01 Chief Petty Officer and 01 Petty Officer of SL Navy received Certificates marking the successful completion of the course.
26868 Sergeant Piyasena ASP (Physiotherapist) was named the best all-round Senior Non Commissioned Officer while 25186 Corporal De Zoysa TS (MTM) was placed as the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer. Other special award winners are as follows.
