Young Aviation Club Season III Concluded at AFM

Air Force Museum recently concluded Season III, One-Day Workshop on ‘Aircraft Engines’ for members of the Young Aviators Club. Students who had completed Season I on ‘Aviation Fundamentals’ and Season II on ‘Aircraft Landing Gear’ were eligible for this particular one day workshop.
Three hundred and forty (340) participants received the rare opportunity of learning about Aircraft Engines through introductory lectures, videos and practical demonstrations. The session ended with a field exercise to test the knowledge they gained through the programme followed by a certificate awarding ceremony.
The Director Aeronautical Engineering, AVM Ajantha Silva, Commanding Officer of ASW Gp Capt STR Dewasiri, Commanding Officer AF Museum Wg Cdr CB Liyanage and Commanding Officer of No 08 Squadron Wg Cdr KAPS Kuruwita, graced the Certificate Awarding Ceremony with the parents of participants and Staff of the SLAF Museum.
