The first Annual Assessment Camp of the Air Wing (Boys) Cadets of the National Cadet Corps was conducted at the Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School, Diyatalawa from 25th January 2015 to 03rd February 2015. The Passing Out Parade of the Air Wing Cadet camp was held on 02nd February 2015 where Major General GBW Jayasundara RWP RSP, the Director of the National Cadet Corps took the salute of the Parade as the Chief Guest at this occasion.

The boy cadets of the Air Wing were very enthusiastic on improving their knowledge and skills about the Air Force and civil subjects with the aim of facing the tests and competitions at the end of the camp. They gained brief knowledge on Map Reading, First–Aid, Leadership and Field Craft.  The Cadets were especially keen and enthusiastic on Drill, the Compass March and the Confidence Building Course.

After a close competition Poramadulla Central College, Rikillagaskada emerged the first place whilst the 2nd and 3rd places were secured by Dudley Senanayake Central College, Tholangamuwa and Dehiovita National Schools respectively.

The Commanding Officer, senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Air Force and the National Cadet Corps, principals, teachers and the students of respective schools and their parents also witnessed this colourful occasion.
