A reception to mark the 64th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force was held at the Eagle’s Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall, Attidiya, yesterday.

A distinguished gathering of public servants, diplomats, senior officers of the Army, Navy and the Police joined with past commanders of the Air Force, senior Air Force officers, both retired and serving, and senior warrant officers in celebrating this significant milestone.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Mr. BMUD Basnayake, The Chief of Defence Staff, General Jagath Jayasuriya and Navy Commander Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera were among the distinguished guests who were present.

Hosted by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke and the Board of Management, the event provided a pleasant atmosphere for the distinguished gathering to interact, reminisce and celebrate.
