The Air Force rugby team emerged victorious over defending champions SL Navy Club in the ongoing Clifford Cup knock-out rugby tournament played yesterday evening(22 March 15).
The Airmen beat the Sailors 37 points (four goals and three penalties) to 23 points (two goals and three penalties) at the Race Course Grounds yesterday.
SLAF players played to a well mapped out game plan, with good balls won by the forwards swiftly flung out to the fleet footed outside backs who punched gaping holes in the Navy defence.
SLAF will be facing Police in the second semifinal of the Clifford Cup.
