The certificate awarding ceremony of No. 61 Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at the Ground Training School auditorium of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on 20th March 2015. Air Commodore PDKT Jayasinghe, thehe Base Commander of   Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.Air Commodore HMSKB Kotakadeniya, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay also witnessed the event.  

The primary objective of conducting this course is to instil a provide a sound academic and managerial knowledge base to the participants while sharpening their leadership qualities.  The course runs through a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. The comprehensive course is affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfil the required criteria are awarded with a Certificate in Management.

The 61st batch comprised 43 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 42 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SL Army, 01 Chief Petty Officer and 01 Petty Officer of SL Navy. Certificates were awarded to 89 Non-commissioned Officers of the afore mentioned batch to acknowledge the successful completion of the course.

17207 Flight Sergeant Saman Kumara GAR (Aero E&I) was placed as the best all-round Senior Non-commissioned Officer while 27050 Sergeant Pathirana PDISK (Aero Eng) was placed as the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer. Other special award winners are as follows.
