United States Air Force Academy Cadets Visit Sri Lanka

Two cadets from the United States Air Force
Academy, accompanied by Major Angela Henderson of the Academy’s Foreign
Languages Department, visited SLAF Headquarters on 23 March 15 as part
of the Academy’s Cultural Immersion Programme for Cadets. The
visit reciprocated a similar visit by SLAF Cadets to the USAF Academy.
They met with the Director Training Air Vice Marshal Vijitha Gunaratne and some senior officers and discussed matters related to training in both countries. There was an exchange of mementos with the Director Training of the SLAF presenting the visitors with a memento from the Commander of the Air Force. The visiting delegation too, presented a token to the Director Training.
The six days visit also includes visits to several training establishments and some opportunities for interaction with Sri Lanka Air Force Cadets. The delegation is also scheduled to visit several religious places in the country during their stay.
