Vesak Bathi Gee Saraniya 2015

Marking the 2604th Sambudhathva Jayanthi, the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit in collaboration with SLAF Station Colombo, staged ‘Vesak Bathi Gee Saraniya 2015’, on 04th May 2015 at the ‘Rifle Green’ Grounds, SLAF Station Colombo.
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Prasanna Payoe received the Chief Guest and Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Roshani Gunatilleke.
‘Vesak Bathi Gee Saraniya 2015’ consisted of 13 famous soul-soothing songs sung by various artistes extolling the life and deeds of the Lord Buddha. The songs were sung by the SLAF Band which also enhanced the attractiveness of the evening. A special feature of the show was the ballet choreographed performed by the SLAF Band highlighting the "Sanda Kiduru Jathakaya ".
The event was attended by the SLAF Chief of Staff Air vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, the Board of Directors, Officers, Other Ranks and their family members, especially those serving at SLAF Headquarters ,SLAF Station Cbo,SLAF Base Kat,SLAF Base Rma and SLAF TTS Eka.
