Chief Of Staff of Slaf Switches On Lights at the Gangarama Vesak Kalapaya

On the invitation of the chief priest of the
Gangarama temple the most venerable Galaboda Gnanissara Thero, the Chief
of Staff of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala
switched on the lights of the Gangarama Vesak Kalapaya on the 05 May
2015, the day allocated for the Air Force.
The guests, Honorable Speaker Chamal Rajapakshe and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force were accompanied to the “Seema Malakaya” from the Gangarama temple in a ‘Perahara’. The Chief of Staff of the Air Force and the Honorable Speaker took the main and other reliquaries respectively as they made their way to the Seema Malakaya.
The lighting of the oil lamp by the distinguished guests followed the chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the ‘Maha Sangha’. Following this and prior to witnessing the Bakthi Geetha program, the Honorable Speaker and Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghla switched on the lights of the Vesak Kalapaya.
