Pilot Officer Koswatte DNML  was awarded the Lakshman De Alwis Challenge Trophy for  the Best Male Athlete whilst  LAC  Wijerathna   was awarded the Chairman Athletics Challenge Trophy for the Best Female athlete of the championship.

Air Force Inter Unit Athletic Championship is an annual event which is organized to improve and identify the sporting skills in the  Air Force.  This year’s championship was well attended with the participation of leading Sri Lanka Air Force athletes, some of whom have represented Sri Lanka in the international sporting arena and have brought honour and glory to their motherland.

Director Ground Operations Air Vice Marshal K Yahampath graced the occasion as the Chief Guest members of the AFBM, Chairman Air Force athletics Air Commodore MDAP Payoe and Senior Officers,Other ranks were also present at the occasion.
