A Delegation from the Indian NDC Visits Air Force Headquarters

A 15-member delegation of 55th course of the
Indian National Defence College (NDC) comprising senior Officers of
Tri-Services from UK, New Zealand, USA, Nepal, Thailand who are
currently on their Strategic Neighborhood Study Tour to Sri Lanka,
visited the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters on 25 August 2015. The
delegation was headed by Maj Gen Rakesh Prathap Sing Bhaduria the Senior
Directing Staff of Indian NDC.
On arrival to AFHQ, they were welcomed by Air Vice Marshal Vijitha Gunarathne, the Director Training of the Air Force. Subsequently, a presentation was conducted by Group Captain Lasitha Sumanaweera, the Senior Staff Officer Air Operations on ‘Post Conflict Role and Challenges’ of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Thereafter, the delegation had the opportunity to meet the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala who made himself available for a discussion for the benefit of the senior ranking NDC students.
On conclusion, Maj Gen Rakesh Prathap Sing Bhaduria presented a symbolic memento to the Commander of the Air Force. The Commander of the Air Force reciprocated by presenting a memento to Maj Gen Rakesh Prathap Sing Bhaduria to mark the event. Members from the board of Management also present at the occasion.
