Air Force Celebrates its 59th Anniversary

The Sri Lanka Air Force proudly celebrated her 59th Anniversary today (02 March 2010). The main function was held at Air Force Head Quarters, Colombo with the participation of Acting Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshall Roshan Goonetileke, Board of Directors, Officers and other ranks.
The Air Force day was celebrated at each Air Base, Station and Unit Island wide. Several special community service projects had been conducted parallel to the functions by the respective Air Bases Stations and Units. Blood donation camps, medical camps and voluntary work were conducted
