The Parachute Training School produces its 21st Batch

33 Para troopers of the 21st batch of the Basic Air Borne Course consisting of 2 officers, 2 Navy personnel and 29 Airmen passed out this morning from the Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayaka.

The group carried a static line jump from 1000 feet from a MI 17 Helicopter, further a number of instructors carried out a freefall display from 6000 feet.

The SLAF colour squadron performed a spectacular drill display followed by a performance by the SLAF Band. Parents and family members of the Para troopers were also present on this occasion.



The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force Air Vice Marshall HD Abeywickrama was the chief guest and he presented "para wings" and special awards to those who passed out as fully pledged Para troopers.
