Observance of National Quality Week and the World’s Standards Day 2015

Under the auspices of Sri Lanka standards institution, the National Quality Week (NQW) is being observed in commercial, industries, service organizations and consumers throughout the Island from 12th to 18thOctober, 2015.
With the theme of “Standard the World’s Common Language”, SLAF establishments joined with Command Quality Assurance Inspectorate (CQAI) to commemorate the World Standards Day (WSD) which falls on 14th October 2015.
Hoisting of Quality flags (Q flag) and conducting of awareness programmes for SLAF personnel on the topics of “Standardization” and “Lean Management” was the main activities done by some SLAF establishments.
With the intention of sharing the knowledge on Quality and to increase awareness of the civil society with regard to NQW and WSD, Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes were conducted by the quality cells of SLAF Academy Cby, SLAF Base Rma, SLAF Base H’goda, SLAF Base Kat to Abeyapura Maha Vidyalaya Trincomalee, Kadawala Nawodaya Maha Vidyalaya,Vidyaloka Vidyalaya Higurakgoda and MOH office Seeduwa respectively.
