All-Night Pirith chanting ceremony at SLAF Station Palaly

An all-night Pirith chanting ceremony followed by an almsgiving was held at SLAF Station Palaly on 17th and 18th October 2015 on the guidance of the Commanding Officer Group Captain GHP Nanayakkara.
Religious blessings were invoked on the fallen heroes who made the supreme sacrifice in defence of our motherland and those who died whilst on active service in this Station, and all ranks, Civil Staff and their families presently serving in the SLAF Station.
A colorful procession was organized by the Station personnel to accompany the religious relics and the Buddhist monks to the Pirith ceremony. Thereafter alms were offered to fourteen Buddhist monks on the following day and Atapirikara were presented to all Bhikkus who attended the ceremony under the patronage of all personnel of the station.
The Commanding Officer, all Officers and all personnel of the station participated in the event.
