SLAF Base Vavuniya won the Inter Unit Squash Championship 2015  which was concluded at the SLAF Squash Complex at SLAF Base Ratmalana today (28 October 2015), beating Tech Formation, SLAF Base Katunayake after a keen contested competition.

The Champion SLAF Base Vavuniya team consisted of Group Captain RAUP Rajapaksha, Wing Commander DRW Jayawardane, Squadron Leader KKH Ravindra , Squadron Leader  Hureegolla, Flying Lieutenant PJM Weerasinghe, Corporal Ranasinge SK and Corporal Jayasena SDK.

Director Ground Operations of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal K Yahampath was the Chief Guest at the occasion. Air Force Board of Management, The Chairman SLAF Squash Air Vice Marshal  MLK Perera and Base Commander of Air Force Base Ratmalana, Air Commodore Ravi Jayasinghe, Officers and Other ranks were also present at this event.

The Open tournament was conducted under five categories, namely Men’s Novices, Women’s Novices, Men’s Open, Men’s over 35 and Men’s over 45. The results of the open tournament are as follows:
