An all-night Pirith Chanting Ceremony followed by an almsgiving was held at SLAF Station Mirigama on 09th and 10th November 2015, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer Group Captain SCK Pallawela.

A colorful procession was organized along with traditional dances and other cultural items by the service personnel to accompany the religious relics and the Buddhist monks to the Pirith Ceremony. Thereafter alms were offered to Buddhist monks on the following day. The Commanding Officer No 04 ADRS and all officers and all service personnel of the Station participated in the event.
