The No 09 Attack Helicopter Squadron established on the 24th November 1995 proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary at the SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, commemorating also the induction of MI-24 attack helicopters to the Sri Lanka Air force.

The working parade marked the commencement of the formation day which was reviewed by the present Commanding Officer Gp Capt LC Dissanayake.

This was followed by floral tributes at the MI-24 monument in memory of those great aircrew who walked within the walls of No 09 Attack Helicopter Squadron, and in honor of the supreme sacrifice made during the fight against terrorism.
