Community Project for Underprivileged School Children at Palaly
A community project organized by SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was conducted at Palaly on 30th November 2015 with a view to assist children of underprivileged schools in the vicinity of SLAF Station Palaly.
This was organized under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs.Samanthi Bulathsinghale on a request made by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palaly.
Two needy schools were identified and arrangements were made to provide shoes and stationary items for 420 students of ‘Kuddiyampulam Maha Vidyalaya’, and ‘Ponnaley Kadduwan Maha Vidyalaya’ Schools. Foundation of Goodness and various well- wishers were the benefactors of these items.
Several members of SLAF SVU, Office bearers of SVU, Commanding Officer, SLAF Station Palaly Gp Capt. Harsha Nanayakkara, Mrs.Wathsala Nanayakkara and the Officers of SLAF Station Palaly participated in the function.
