Awarding Ceremony of Catering Assistant (02/2015) and Ground Stewards
(01/2015) Advanced Courses was held at the Hospitality Management
School, Sri Lanka Air force Station, Sigiriya on 04 December
2015.
The event marked the completion of six months of advanced training focused on Kitchen Arrangements, Menu Planning, Eastern & Western Cookery, Preparation of Desserts, Preparation of Sauces & Pastries Grooming & Hygiene, Dining in/out procedure ,General Administration and English Language.
24 Catering Assistants from NO 02/2015 Catering Assistant Advanced Course and 14 Ground Stewards from NO 01/2015 Ground Steward Advanced Course were awarded the certificates at the occasion.
The trophy for the best student of NO 02/2015 Catering Assistant Advanced Course was awarded to 36508 Leading Air Craftsman Mallawa PALDC while the trophy for the best student of NO 01/2015 Ground Steward Advanced Course was awarded to AW/2878 Leading Air craftswoman Sewwandi VPE.
The Commanding Officer No 01 L & R Wing Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay Group Captain HMMSB Herath graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the event. The Commanding Officer of the Station Group Captain LHN Jayathilake, Officers, Other ranks of the station were present.
