The new Preschool of SLAF Base Katunayake was declared open by the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala on 12 January 2016.

 The Preschool’s facilities have been upgraded to spacious class rooms, a computer room, an indoor play room, an assembly hall, a library, modern furniture, audio visual facilities and a well facilitated outdoor playing area

 Acting Director Welfare Air Cdre KFR Fernando, Base Commander Air Cdre HMSKB Kotakadeniya, senior officers and other ranks of the base, teachers and kids of the Preschool participated at the opening ceremony.
