The 68th Independence Day parade, where Sri Lanka commemorates the successful outcome for the valiant struggle for freedom from colonial powers, will take place at the Galle Face greens on 4 February 2016.

This year too, the Air Force will participate in the ceremonial parade.  60 Officers and 618 Airmen are expected to join the parade with the SLAF parade Band comprising 275 Airmen and 2 officers to salute the President.

A rehearsal for the parade was held this morning, 02 February 2016.  The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan  Bulathsinghala inspected the rehearsals.
