In keeping with a concept of recognizing academic achievements of children of SLAF personnel and civilians employed in the SLAF, the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a programme to felicitate the students who performed extremely well at the GCE A/L and Grade 5 Scholarship examinations during the year 2015. The programme was held on 05th February 2016 at AFHQ Auditorium under the patronage of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala.
 
Two (02) students who obtained three “A” s in G.C.E. A/L and Ninety four (94) students who obtained marks above 170 at Grade 5 examination were selected and each individual was provided with a financial grant by the Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

The Commander of the Air Force and Chairperson of the SLAF SVU of the Sri Lanka Air Force Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala congratulated and expressed their best wishes to students who succeeded in the examination during the ceremony.

The Chief Of Staff Air Vice Marshal CR Gurusinghe, Director Electronic and Telecommunications Air Vice Marshal RJPathirage, Director welfare Air Vice Marshal KFR Fernando, Members of SVU and children of SLAF personnel and civilians employed in the SLAF were also present at the occasion.
