The annual sports meet of Sri Lanka Air Force School Katunayakewas held on 11th February 2016 at the sports grounds. The event was graced by Mr. KC Fernando the Zonal Director Education (Negambo) as the chief guest and Air Commodore HMSKB Kotakadeniya the Base Commander Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake as the guest of honour. In addition, Mr. W Lal Kumara Director Admin Zonal Education Office (Negambo), Mrs Ramani De Silva Director Planning Zonal Education Office (Negambo) were also among the distinguished guests for the occasion.

    The Air Force School Katunayake has a history lasts from 1961 and was upgraded to a secondary level school on 04th January 2016 with the directives of Air Marshal GP Bulathsinghala the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
