Under the Patronage of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the SLAF the ‘Gagana Viru Saviya' Scholarship Awards Ceremony was held today (24 February  2016)  at the SLAF Trade Training School Ekala for the 8th successive year.

The scholarship scheme is intended to support selected students from Grade 5 up to the G.C.E. A/L Examination.  A total of 200 children of war heroes, service personnel and Civilian personnel of the SLAF received scholarships at this ceremony.  

The Chairperson of the SLAF SVU Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer SLAF TTS Ekala Group Captain Jude Perera and members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit were also present.
