A reception to mark the 65th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force was held at the Eagle’s Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall, Attidiya, yesterday.

A distinguished gathering of public servants, diplomats, senior officers of the Army, Navy and the Police joined with past commanders of the Air Force, senior Air Force officers both retired and serving, senior warrant officers, senior non-commissioned officers and their families attend to celebrate this significant milestone.

State Minister of Defence Mr Ruwan Wjewardana , the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Engineer Karunasena Hettiarachchi, the Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General  Crishantha De Silva , Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne  were among the distinguished guests who were present.

65th Anniversary Reception was hosted by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala and the Board of Management.
