The Press Conference for the Rotherham Circuit Meet 2016 was held this evening (10 March 2016) at the Air Force Headquarters Auditorium to launch the publicity campaign for the event that is scheduled on 20th March 2016.

The Rotherham Circuit Meet organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Auto Sports Drivers Association will be held at the SLAF Racing Track in Katukurunda for the 10th consecutive year. The funds generated from this event will go towards SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit which will be utilized for welfare of needy personnel in the community and for the SLAF personnel.

The main sponsors of this event are Telcey Services pvt(Ltd) and Bank of Ceylon this time. CEAT will be the principal sponsor and Stafford Motors, Raja Jewellers, Peoples Bank , Brantel Lanka will co-sponsor for the event.  The electronic media partner (Television) is Rupavahini Corporation, the Electronic media sponsor (Radio) is ABC Networks and the Print media sponsor is Associated Newspapers Ceylon Limited. The event will be telecasted live on Rupavahini.

During the press conference,the main sponsors and the co-sponsors handed over the sponsorship cheques to the Chairman Motor Racing, Air Vice Marshal Chandana Welikala.The SLAF Chairman Motor Racing Team Air Vice Marshal AH Wijesiri,Command Sport Officer of SLAF Air Commodore Leonard Rodrigo, The Secretary SLAF Motor Racing Group Captain Thushara Sirimanne,Command Media Officer Group Captain Chandima Alwis, The President of SLADA Mr. Mahesh Gammanpila,The Secretary of SLADA Mr. Rizvy Faruk, representatives from the sponsors and some of the Senior and Junior Officers were also present at the conference.
