The certificate awarding ceremony of No. 65th Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at Astra Multifunctional Hall of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on 24th March 2016. The Director General Engineering, Air Vice Marshal AH Wijesiri  graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest and the Acting Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay Air Cdre RMMMB Werellagama also join for the event.

The primary objective of conducting this course is to transform a sound academic and managerial knowledge while sharpening leadership qualities within Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF. The course runs through a well-formed Syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. The comprehensive course is affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfil the required criteria will be awarded with a certificate in Management. The No. 65th batch comprising of 44 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 40 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SL Army, 01 Chief Petty Officer and 01 Petty Officer of SL Navy. Certificates were awarded to 88 Non Commissioned Officers to acknowledge the successful completion of the course.

17468 F/Sgt Gunasinghe UDNP (Aero Engine) was placed as the best all-round Senior Non Commissioned Officer while 31671 Cpl Herath HMAK (Den Asst I) was placed as the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer. Other special award winners are as follows.
