The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala declared open the newly constructed Electronic Section at the SLAF Station Batticaloa today (29th March 2016).

Commanding Officer SLAF Station Wing Commander Buddika Piyasiri, officers and other ranks of the station were also present at the opening.

After the opening ceremony commander visited to inspect progress of the runway renovation project of Batticaloa.  Bcl runway was extended up to a length of 1560m to facilitate movement of medium sized Aircraft.
