The first flight safety workshop for the Non Commissioned Officers was successfully completed on 1st April 2016 at the NCO Management School, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China bay.

This flight safety workshop was organized by the Command Flight Safety Inspectorate of the SLAF to inculcate safety awareness among the tradesmen who directly involves with Air Operations of the SLAF. Resource persons from the SLAF shared their wealth of knowledge with the participants during the workshop.

A total of 51 NCOs’ followed the course for duration of 5 days. This was the first out of two workshops planned for NCOs and two more workshops have been planned for the Officers in year 2016.
 
The Opening Address was conducted by the Command Flight Safety Officer Air Cdre SK Pathirana. SLAF Academy Commandant Air Cdre PDKT Jayasinghe graced the occasion and addressed the participants on the final day.
