SLAF Base Katunayake Regiment wing and SLAF TTS Ekala emerged as the men's and women's champions respectively in the Inter unit Hockey Tournament for the year 2016 which was concluded on 05th  April 2016 at SLAF TTS Ekala.

SLAF Base Anuradhapura and SLAF Base Katunayake secured the runner up in the men's and women's categories.

The Chief of Staff of the Air Force Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The Board of Management, Chairman SLAF Hockey Air Commodore HN Abesinghe, Base Commander SLAF Base katunayake Air Commodore HMSK Kotakadeniya , Commanding Officer SLAF TTS Ekala Gp Capt MJR Perera, Officers, and other ranks witnessed the event.
