Sri Lanka Air Force netball team won the Defence Services Netball Championship 2016 beating SL Navy by 54-51 in the finals concluded at SLAF Health Management Centre (HMC) Thummulla on 07 April 2016.

Dulanga Dulanji of SLAF was crowned as the “Net Ball Queen” whilst Chaturika Jayasooriya of SLAF, Lihini Wattegedara of SLAF and Hasitha Mendis of SL Navy were adjudged the Best Defender, Best Center Court and Best Shooter respectively.
 
Major General RV Udawatta  the Director General  Finance Management of SL Army  graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
