SLAF Academy China Bay won the Men's Championship while SLAF Trade Training School Ekala won the Women's Championship at the Inter Unit Boxing Championship 2016 which was held at the Indoor Stadium of the SLAF Base Katunayake.    

Aircraftsman Pushpakumara of SLAF CTS Diyatalawa  and Aircraftswoman Neranjala of the SLAF TTS Ekala were announced as the Best Boxers in  the Men's  and Women's Categories respectively.

The Chief of Staff of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during the final day. Chairman SLAF Boxing, Air Commodore DJC Weerakoon,   Members from the Board of Management of SLAF, Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayaka Air Commordore  Sagara  Kotakadeniya, officers and other ranks were also present at the event.
