No 2 Mechanical Transport Repair and Overhaul Wing SLAF Vavuniya proudly celebrated their 2nd Anniversary on 28th April 2016.

The enormous efforts of the Commanding Officer, Officers, Airmen and the Civilian Staff to elevate the Wing into a fully fledge Overhaul Facility has become a reality and being enjoyed by the peripheral SLAF formations.

The celebrations started with religious activities at Sri Siththi Winayakar Kovil and offering a Boodhi Pooja at Isinbessagala Temple. All ranks of the Wing lead by the Commanding Officer Wing Commander Charith Bodhiseela participated for sports activities on the Formation day and the celebrations were concluded with a Dinner party graced by the Base Commander Group Captain Udeni Rajapaksa and in attendance of all COs and OCs of SLAF Base Vavuniya.
