Hon. Minister to the Ministry of Law & Order and Southern Development Mr  Sagala Rathnayake paid a visit to the SLAF Air Operations Room at the Air Force Headquarters today (22 May 2016) to observe the progress of the SLAF Flood Relief Operations.

Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala received Hon. Minister to the Ministry of Law & Order and Southern Development Mr Sagala Rathnayake on his arrival.

Subsequently, Senior Air Staff Officer Group Captain Lasitha Sumanaweera conducted a briefing on the progress of rescue missions launched, provision of food, water and medical facilities to affected area.

Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe, and Officers of the Directorate of Air Operations were also present at the progress briefing.
