On the directive given by the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, SLAF Station Palaly organized an educational tour for the children of Kuddiyappulam Government Tamil Mixed School Jaffna from 27 May 2016 to 29 May 2016.
 
All students of grade 9, 10, 11 (78 School Children), 12 School Teachers and 06 Parents participated. They visited Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo Harbour, Colombo Museum and National Zoological Gardens.

A team comprising of Sqn Ldr R Jayaratne, Fg Off Samaraweera and a number of other ranks organized this educational tour under the guidance of Commanding Officer Gp Capt SDGM Silva and Wg Cdr GSN Priyadarshana (Former CO).
