“Sigiriya Rally Cross 2016” one of the highlights of the Sri Lankan Motor Racing Calendar, concluded today (5th June 2016) at the SLAF Sigiriya Racing Track with a large number of spectators and the event was graced by Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala.

“Sigirya Rally Cross” is conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force in association with the Sri Lanka Autosports Drivers Association (SLADA).  It is a distinct race because of the fact that Sigiriya is the one-and-only Tar and Gravel combined track in Sri Lanka.  The proceeds from this event will go towards the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit to be utilized for the welfare of SLAF personnel.

Board of Management of the Air Force, Chairman of the SLAF motor racing Air Vice Marshal CP Welikala, Officers, all personnel of the SLAF and  representatives of the sponsors of the event present to witness the Rally Cross.

Ishan Dasanayaka was the Best Rider whilst Ushan Perera was awarded the trophy for the Best Driver at the Sigiriya Rally Cross 2016.
