SLAF joined to commemorate the World Oceans Day celebrations under the theme of “Healthy Oceans - Healthy Planet” today. (08 June 16).

This National event was held at the Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre under the patronage of  HE the President Maithripala Sirisena.

The ceremony was followed by an awareness walk from the Viharamahadevi Park to Galle Face premises.

Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal  Gagan Bulathsinghala, Commander of Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, Officers and other ranks of SLAF took part in the event.
