Defence Services Taekwondo Championship 2016 held at the SL Army Sports complex Panagoda on 08 and 09 June 2016.

SLAF women’s team bagged the 2016 Championship securing Six (06) gold medals, One(01) Silver and Four(04) Bronze medals.  SLAF men’s team secured Two (02) gold medals, Two(02) Silver and Four(04) Bronze medals.
 
Rear Admiral WS Jayasinghe (DGCE) of SL Navy graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Chairman Air Commodore Sagara Kotakadeniya, officers and other ranks witness the event.
