Second Encounter with Visiting Indian Air Force (IAF) Hockey Team
The second encounter with the IAF hockey team took place at the Astro Turf, Colombo 7 today (16 June 2016).
Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Board of Management of the Air Force, Chairman SLAF Hockey Air Commodore HN Abesinghe,Officers and Other ranks also witnessed the event.
Indian Air Force Hockey team arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill sports visit on 12 June 2016. They won the first engagement with the Sri Lanka Air Force Hockey team which took place at the same venue on 13 June 2016. SLAF scored one goal initially during the second encounter; however IAF managed to score one goal at the last moment making the game a last minute draw making IAF winning the goodwill hockey series.
